• Michael Zahra – President, Canada

  

  Michael Zahra is President, Staples Advantage, which has its Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, ON. Staples Advantage Canada utilizes 10 technologically advanced distribution centres to provide the highest levels of quality, fill-rate and next-day delivery of office products, technology products, facility supplies, and office furniture to all major markets from St. John's, Newfoundland to Vancouver, British Columbia.

  Michael is responsible for formulating, communicating, and implementing the Staples Advantage Canada business plan and is responsible for all aspects of Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Care, Quality, Operations, Finance & Human Resources.

  Having spent many years in sales and marketing in his career, Michael is passionate about meeting and exceeding customer expectations. He actively participates in industry events as Staples Advantage transforms the office products landscape. Michael joined Staples Advantage in 2002 as President of the Ontario Division where he led its dynamic growth and development. Prior to joining Staples Advantage, Michael was President of Yahoo! Canada, and previously President of Schlumberger RMS Canada and has held increasingly senior positions with Alcatel, ITT & Motorola.

  Michael has a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the City University, Washington and a P. Log designation from the Logistics Institute. Michael is a native Torontonian and enjoys travel, photography, golf, SCUBA and snowboarding. Michael is on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement and is involved with various charities.
